I work as a web developer at a small Unix/Linux software firm in The Hague (NL), working in PHP, python, and whatever else is required to get the job done. Previously, I worked as an in-house developer, developing and maintaining ASP.NET web applications.
I started programming games on an MS-DOS PC, using Turbo Pascal. Later, I picked up C, C++, still writing mainly games. Then I found PHP, and dived into web programming. For my previous job, I learned C# and VB.NET, and the usual things that go with it - XML, XSLT, SOAP, Javascript, AJAX, the HTTP stack, IIS configuration, etc. Currently most of my work is Python and PHP.
Along the way, I also dabbled a bit in Java, Lisp, various BASIC dialects, 8086 assembly, Bash scripting, and probably a few more I'm forgetting about right now. I'm also currently learning some Haskell on the side.
